Printing and the Low Hanging Fruit...

In today’s economy, saving every little penny counts! Are you just saving every penny in your personal bank account? Or, are you actually helping your company save money too? You are probably wondering, Nikki, what the heck are you talking about!?

I’m talking about leveraging every little thing you can within your organization to cut costs or generate revenue. At Wentworth, we help companies look at that 30,000-foot view. We help you determine how to make the most of your print budget.

Typically printing is an overlooked area to take advantage of savings in the form of "low hanging fruit". That is, it’s easy to do, but commonly not thought of. It’s okay; don’t beat yourself up over it.

Take a look at how you are currently producing marketing collateral and interoffice communications. Can some items be consolidated? Are there items that you have printed too much of, which all too often become obsolete? Maybe looking at more of a just in time solution would help? Or, you could be printing some pieces in an effort to generate interest in your product or service, but you’re not able to track the results.

All of these issues are common problems within any company’s purchasing and marketing departments. It’s time you took the bull by the horns and show your company that you can make a difference.

Not sure, though, where to start? You already have. Follow this blog…I’ll be sharing tips on cost savings and revenue generating tools. Or, you can reach out to me personally to ask me how you can get started.

Has your company gone Green? It's a known fact that being environmentally friendly is all the craze!

But have you thought about how your company can make a small difference in today's world when it comes to your printing needs? I'm not talking about paying the extra cash to use the "Recycled" papers out there.

I'm talking about FSC? Haven't heard of it? FSC stands for Forrest Stewardship Council. This organization assists in the consumption of...you guessed it...trees.

The Forrest Stewardship Council ensures that areas the size of Georgia aren't being clear cut and not replanted. They take it to the next level by ensuring that forrests are responsibly harvested and managed. By offering a chain of custody for every tree that's harvested, the FSC organization can ensure that you are buying paper environementaly responsibly.

This means that by using a printer that's FSC Certified, you can take advantage of being environmentally friendly without paying the extra costs of fully recycled sheets!
Did you know that ALL Consolidated Graphics' printing facilites are FSC Certified?

Go Green! It's your civic duty! Contact your printer today!
